Elk Point is a town located in east-central Alberta, Canada. It is located in Highway 41 and can be accessed by Highways 28, 29, 36, and 41. It is 235km northeast of Edmonton. As of 2016, the total population is 1,452.

Golf at Elk Point
Yes, despite how small the town is, Elk Point has its own Golf and Country Club. Elk Point Golf and Country Club is a great place for family and friends to get together and hit that hole-in-one you have always wanted. It is located only 2 kilometers to the west of the town (Sec Hwy 646). It is packed with a 9-hole green field, and you can even rent clubs and golf carts. What more can you ask for?
The course amenities include a Club House with excellent crafted food, a Pro-Shop, carts and club rentals, an outdoor covered deck at the Club House, and tournament bookings.

Camping Outdoors
Going on a camping trip is another great activity at Elk Point. It has two camping grounds: Ross Lake and Whitney Lake. They both have more than 45 well-treed campsites, a hand-pump potable water located across the park, natural sand beach, and playgrounds perfect for kids. When talking about amenities, we have it all. Our camping sites have a boating launch, fish cleaning stations, piers, power outlets, water stations, firepits, toilets with flush, sewage disposal, accessible pathways for handicaps, firewood sold, grocery stores, playgrounds and showers.

Water Spray Park
Get wet and dirty. This is an awesome way for families to enjoy a day under the sun. This cool water spray park is perfect for kids and adults of all ages. It is motion activated and will only spray when people are around the area. To enjoy the sprays, all you need to do is to wave at the flower, and once it detects motion, you instantly get sprayed. The system detects time that controls when to shut off. Stoney Lake Rodeo
Stoney Lake Rodeo is always a fun adventure. It goes back to 46 years of family entertainment. Although they are not located directly in the center of Elk Point, we consider them part of our family. It usually is a two days event filled with great stampede action for everyone to watch. The best part is you get free pancakes for breakfast on Sunday morning. It also has an on-site camping grounds. Listen to Christmas songs and sing along in Elk Point, Alberta, because Winter Wonderland Parade is still on! Get into the Christmas mood by viewing the brilliant and stunning show of 27 trees, a hugely inflated arch, and a Grinch-driven hot rod that began last Friday evening and will continue all throughout the holiday season and New Year’s. They are located along the Iron Horse Trail Staging area across the Eco Centre all the way to the log cabin.
On parade night, many establishments extend their hours and have special sales or activities, and there are additional added attractions this year. Those who wish to participate will not be required to register. Entries should just line up at the EcoCentre between 5 and 6 p.m. The parade will travel along Main Street on its regular path. At the Eco Centre, the Elk Point Lions will provide hot dogs and hot chocolate. From 5 to 8 p.m., the Seniors Recreation Centre will host a pancake supper with the Elk Point Skating Club flipping the flapjacks to help raise funds to replace the ageing and problematic ice plant at A. G. Ross Arena, and the Christian Community Church will host coffee and a Christmas flea market following the parade.
This year, there will be new entrants. You may anticipate two from the Chamber of Commerce's Rona and Hahn Welding, Second Time Finds, the Christian Community Church's Mountain Movers Youth Group, and two more from other new members. Cam and Diane Peifer will set up a memorial tree where anyone who have a friend or family member are asked to place an ornament in remembrance of loved ones, which will be a completely new and unique concept.
